On social media, a conversation between Radio Zet and PO senator Grzegorz Schetyna was recalled. When the audience asked questions, the politician heard an awkward question. However, it is not the content that is shocking, but Schetyna’s reaction, who clearly suggested with amusement that promises without a hard contract do not necessarily have to be kept…
Schetyna was supposed to answer questions from listeners, but the first one could have been a sensitive issue for the politician from the December 13 Coalition.
If a car showroom owner promised his customers that he would import 100 cars for them in 100 days, and after 100 days it turned out that he had imported only 8, would you call such an owner a fraudster and encourage people to buy cars from such a person?
– asked the listener.
I understand that it is about 100 details. I would wonder what the price of these cars is and whether he delivers on the promise that he made in the promotional offer or in the sales offer.
— Schetyna caught the allusion, clearly amused, which was also noted by the journalist who spoke to him:
You’re laughing at this yourself.
Schetyna explained that without a “firm commitment” there is no need to fulfill such a promise.
Well, I can’t imagine such a situation, a dealer who would import 100 cars. Or signs the contract earlier. If there is no firm commitment, they simply won’t be brought in
– said the PO politician, after which he was rightly asked: “So why promise?”
But did he sign the contract? He didn’t sign.
– Schetyna continued.
An election campaign is a kind of contract with the voter
– the journalist reminded the politician.
I’m of course talking about this car salesman
— Schetyna tried to make something clear, to which he received an answer:
We know exactly what we are talking about…
Commentary by Waldemar Buda
Grzegorz Schetyna to citizens about 100 specific details that are not implemented: Do you have a written contract? Curtain
– Waldemar Buda of Law and Justice commented on Schetyna’s “funny” statement, although one might also be tempted to use the word “arrogant.”
