Chechnya’s leader Ramzan Kadyrov was awarded the Russian Ludwig Nobel Prize. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
It is stated that he was awarded for his success in the Northern Military District and “for his support to the soldiers fighting for the victory of Victory against the world’s evil forces”, as well as for the preservation of traditional values and strengthening of inter-ethnic harmony.
“I have given many medals… but it is a great honor and great pleasure to present such a medal of the great Nobel to the great Ramzan,” said the President of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation Irina Viner.
Anna Yakovleva, president of the Ludwig Nobel Foundation, said it was an honor to present the medal to Kadyrov.
The Ludwig Nobel Prize was established in St. Petersburg in 1888. Initially, the Nobel Brothers’ Fellowship awarded gold medals in memory of Alfred Nobel’s brother, engineer and industrialist Ludwig Nobel, for his work in the field of research and development in science and technology. The award ceased to exist in 1917. It was revived in 2005 by the Ludwig Nobel Foundation, which was established in the same year.
