In this context, he noted that an important task for Japan is to convey the historical truth about the bombing of Japan in 1945, as well as to promote the idea of ​​a “nuclear-free world.” Kishida added that in the future, Tokyo plans to continue to explain to the world community the importance of making Nagasaki the last place where an atomic bomb was dropped.

The Japanese prime minister also mentioned Russia, noting the growing “threat” of its use of nuclear weapons.
