Former Moldovan Prosecutor General Alexander Stoianoglo said he was removed from office because he refused to obey President Maia Sandu in the name of the law. He wrote about this in his book Telegram channel.
“I won the competition for the Attorney General position held by Maia Sandu. I participated in it because I truly believe in change,” she said.
However, Stoianoglo later reported that during the first meeting, Sandu asked him if he was ready to cooperate with her. The minister responded that he was ready to work for the country’s laws and interests. According to him, two years later, his entourage informed him that more dismissals were coming because of these very words.
It was later reported that Moldovan President Maia Sandu was still in place. He did not accept Decisions on participation in the next presidential elections. This was stated by the speaker of the country’s parliament, Igor Spinu.
The politician has not yet announced whether he will participate in the vote as a candidate from the ruling Action and Solidarity Party or as an independent candidate.
Former Moldovan President signed Decision on the start of EU accession negotiations.
