Ryszard Kalisz, as a member of the National Electoral Commission, often appeared in the media today to inform about the progress of today’s analysis of the financial reports of the parliamentary election commissions. Some of the former politician’s former colleagues resurfaced at the sight of him. “During today’s meeting with journalists, Ryszard Kalisz complained that I had expelled him from the SLD in 2013. In fact, he was excluded from the Alliance by the party court,” the former MEP wrote on X. Kalisz, despite the enormous amount of work at the National Electoral Commission (he repeatedly stressed that the material was very extensive), responded to Miller’s submission quite quickly.
At the sight of Ryszard Kalisz, who nowadays often appears in the media in connection with today’s meeting of the National Electoral Commission, which analyzes the financial reports of parliamentary election commissions. In this context, the most talked about is the possible loss of a significant part of the financial subsidy by PiS. The ruling coalition is trying to put pressure on the National Electoral Commission, which was visible in the statement of the head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, Jan Grabiec, on TVP Info. Kalisz, in turn, states that pressure is being exerted on him and other members of the National Electoral Commission, including: President of PiS and “one of the journalists”.
Miller on Kalisz
It turns out that the lawyer and former politician has fueled old grudges among his former party members with his media activities.
During today’s meeting with journalists, Ryszard Kalisz complained that I had expelled him from the SLD in 2013. In fact, he was expelled from the Alliance by the party court because he participated in an initiative aimed at creating a political project that competed with the SLD.
– wrote Leszek Miller, former Prime Minister, former Member of the European Parliament and former SLD leader, on Platform X.
Such a project called “Europe plus” was sponsored by Aleksander Kwaśniewski, Janusz Palikot and Marek Siwiec. The electoral committee “Europe plus Your Movement” placed Kalisz on the first place on the electoral list in the Warsaw district. The coalition of Kwaśniewski, Palikot and Kalisz received 252,699 votes (3.58%) and did not win any seats in the European Parliament. Kalisz himself received 34,000. votes. SLD received 9.44 percent. votes, which gave him 5 seats
– he emphasized.
“Leszek, thank you for reminding me of the circumstances”
The National Electoral Commission member owed no debts to Miller.
Leszek, thank you for reminding me of the circumstances of my expulsion from the SLD. You did not finish it, two years later you formed a coalition with Janusz Palikot. In 2015, the SLD under your leadership was not in the Sejm. For the first time in the history of the party that we were the founders
– wrote Kalisz, who – despite hard work at the National Electoral Commission and the abundance of material to analyze – responded to the former prime minister quite quickly.
In one place, Kalisz and Miller appear to be able to shake hands – neither of them is apparently proud of the Palikot collaboration.
