Lawyers said that if the amendments were to be passed anyway, the rule of law in the United States would come to an end, with the judiciary becoming nothing more than a political tool of the president.

Biden offered Introducing a constitutional amendment called “No One Is Above the Law”, which would include banning immunity from prosecution for former heads of state.

Second, he proposed limiting the terms of Supreme Court justices to 18 years because of “regular rotation” (they currently serve for life).

Third, the president announced the introduction of a mandatory code of conduct for Supreme Court judges.
