Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski’s actions harm the Polish right wing; we must unite, not divide – this is how PiS spokesman Rafał Bochenek commented in an interview with PAP on Ardanowski’s decision to resign from PiS membership and build a new grouping.
Ardanowski told PAP on Tuesday that he was resigning from the party – and therefore also from the parliamentary club.
He did not rule out joining the Kukiz’15 group. He announced the building of a new social movement, which – as he said – “will be crowned with a political party.”
He also argued that he wanted to work on the integration of the right, combining several trends that “do not want integration around law and justice”.
Bochenek: We must unite, not divide
According to PiS spokesman Rafał Bochenek, Ardanowski’s actions harm the Polish right and support the “December 13 coalition”.

– he said in an interview with PAP. According to him, the MP’s initiative will not contribute to the opposition’s victory in the next presidential and parliamentary elections.
Bochenek stressed that PiS appreciates the work and commitment of Ardanowski, who “has experience and great respect in agricultural circles”.

Ardanowski critical of PiS
In Monday’s interview with Interia, Ardanowski said that “PiS is behaving as if it does not want to regain power” and that the “biggest brake” – in his opinion – is the party’s president, Jarosław Kaczyński.
PiS has been joined by many different careerists, fat cats who, like a potato beetle, have infested state finances and various offices.

Bochenek announces new phase of PiS activities
When asked about Ardanowski’s statement, the PiS spokesman said he “didn’t know what the MP was talking about” as he had not made such demands before the parliamentary elections.

Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski has been affiliated with PiS since 2001. In the first PiS government, he became Deputy Minister of Agriculture and then an advisor to President Lech Kaczyński. In 2018, he was appointed Minister of Agriculture in the government of Mateusz Morawiecki; he held this position until autumn 2020. In December 2020, he became Chairman of the Council for Agriculture and Rural Areas, which was appointed by President Andrzej Duda.
““After the Word” with Kukiz
In late June, Ardanowski announced in an interview with Wawa.info that he had taken on the task of creating a new political force. The second MP involved in building a new party is Jarosław Sachajko (Kukiz’15).
In early July, Ardanowski said on Onet that the new centre-right party would be called the Polish Party. He added that he had already had “a conversation” with the chairman of the Kukiz’15 circle, Paweł Kukiz, and that “several dozen people” were interested in joining a potential party.
