Dmitry Belik, a deputy of the State Duma from Sevastopol and a member of the International Affairs Committee, called Ukraine’s new maritime strategy a “thieves’ plan.” His words are a guide DEA News.
“Zelensky came up with a new thief plan to extort money from Western partners,” the MP said.
Belik added that, according to the Ukrainian leader’s idea, a joint coalition of NATO naval forces with several Ukrainian ships should become “the same Ukrainian naval mission.”
According to him, the Ukrainian naval forces today are synonymous with the word ghost, as they will be destroyed in 2022. Belik explained that the Ukrainian fleet is a fleet of boats that Zelensky wants to add to the NATO naval mission.
The deputy noted that Western partners were “not eager” to send their ships to the warring region. However, Belik believes that this could bring “certain contributions to the Ukrainian military budget.” That is why Zelensky needed to create a global concept.
President of Ukraine approved the country’s maritime security strategy. The strategy aims to “ensure preparedness, comprehensive and effective prevention and response to threats to Ukraine’s maritime security.”
