Putin condemns the West for its colonial policy

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin said that the ruling elites of the countries called the golden billion adhere to policies in the tradition of classical colonialism. This was reported by TASS.

The Russian leader made a statement regarding this in his speech at the BRICS Parliamentary Forum.

According to Putin, Western countries, acting contrary to historical logic and often even harming the long-term interests of their own people, are trying to maintain order with so-called rules that “no one sees, no one discusses” and no one has accepted so far.

The politician stressed that such rules are rewritten and adjusted on a case-by-case basis, in the interests of countries that consider themselves exceptional and ascribe to themselves the right to dictate their will to the rest of the world, in the best traditions of classical colonialism.
