Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjarto described Donald Trump’s potential victory in the US presidential election as a “chance for peace” between Russia and Ukraine. His words provide guidance Reuters.
As Szijjártó put it, there needs to be “very strong external pressure” on the conflicting parties to force them to the negotiating table.
“Who has a chance in the coming period? That will only happen if President Trump is elected. If President Trump wins, we see a chance for peace. If President Trump wins, we see a chance for good relations between Hungary and the United States,” he said.

According to Szijjártó, the policies of Western countries regarding the conflict between Russia and Ukraine “did not bring results because the situation has worsened”.
