According to Kobakhidze, Georgia is more ready to join the European Union than other candidate countries. Georgia has not yet started accession negotiations with the EU, but the country’s leader stated that it has already formalized association and free trade agreements, received a visa-free regime and received candidate status for EU membership.
“I am sure that Georgia will become a member of the European Union by 2030. Among the EU candidate countries, Georgia will be the most prepared country by 2030,” he said.
