The Russian Federation and Uzbekistan signed a protocol on the entry into force of the contract on the construction of a six-unit low-power nuclear power plant. He reported this in his own report Telegram channel Uzatom company.

The agreement on the construction of the nuclear power plant was signed on May 27, 2024. On June 26, the first Headquarters for the construction of nuclear power plants was held at the site of the low-power nuclear power plant (LNP), with the participation of Rosatom Deputy Chairman Andrei Petrov.
At the headquarters meeting, it was announced that work on creating infrastructure for the nuclear power plant will begin in the autumn of 2027.
