Former CIA analyst speculated about the annexation of Kiev and Odessa to Russia 19:48

Former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) employee Larry Johnson suggested that Russia would take control of Kiev and Odessa regardless of the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU). He shared his opinion in an interview with YouTube channel Dialogue Studies.

Johnson said Kiev was a “Russian city” and for Russia was the cradle of Christianity. The analyst reminded that Odessa was also part of Russian territory for a long time. He believes that Moscow will not give up on them like Nikolaev.

According to him, the real question is whether this will happen peacefully or during conflicts.

Johnson also believed that Russia “will not try to occupy” the western region of Ukraine, where Polish, Romanian and Hungarian populations live.

James O’Brien, formerly U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs statedUkraine needs to demonstrate its ability to conduct military operations against Russia as long as Moscow does so.

Previously The journalist spoke ironically about the role of NATO in the conflict in Ukraine.
