“I am very pleased that we are starting our official visit to China with a meeting at the embassy and the presentation of state awards. It is important for me to be able to emphasize the importance of building Polish-Chinese relations. I would like to thank all my compatriots who contribute to building these relations,” Andrzej Duda said at the ceremony at which the President of the Republic of Poland presented awards to people who contributed to the development of bilateral cooperation.
I started the first year of my presidency with a visit to China. At that time we signed an agreement on the concept that Poland would join the Belt and Road initiative
– Andrzej Duda commented.
We spoke with the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China about our relations. I am glad that we have built them up peacefully all these years
– said the president.
The symbolic dimension of the visit
Today I am entering the last year of my presidency and I have the feeling that this is a farewell visit. It has a symbolic meaning that Polish-Chinese relations are important and I would like them to continue and be as good as possible on an economic and bilateral level.
– said Andrzej Duda.
Thank you for strengthening the Polish spirit in China. This is very important to us. Thank you for promoting Poland and our entrepreneurship – what is the best in us when it comes to business
– noted the President.
Relations between our countries were and are positive. I would like these relationships to continue. We are a Central European country and in our country the influences of different cultures come together. Today it also means the convergence of many roads running from east to west and from west to east
– Andrzej Duda emphasized.
We must use the meeting of these paths to build our international relations
– added.
