Russian President Vladimir Putin has commented on the idea of possibly building a model of “authoritarian social capitalism” in Russia. This statement was made by St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
The moderator of the SPIEF plenary session, political scientist Sergei Karaganov, asked the Russian leader a question about the ideal model for Russia’s development and suggested the option of “authoritarian social capitalism”.
The head of state explained his answer with the example of the Chinese economic model, which experts consider “more efficient”. He always called for acting from “the realities of the country.”
