France spoke in favor of peace in Ukraine, but on one condition 06.06.2024, 23:59

French officials welcome the establishment of peace in Ukraine, but not at the expense of the withdrawal of the country’s Armed Forces (AFU). This opinion was expressed by French President Emmanuel Macron in an interview with the TV channel. TF1.

“France wants peace and we have been fighting for it since day one,” the head of state says.

According to the French leader, peace cannot be achieved at the expense of Kiev’s withdrawal, despite the fact that the republic’s authorities are under great pressure in connection with Russia’s special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine.

Macron said, “The only peace we want is a peace negotiated by both sides,” and noted that this can be achieved through diplomatic negotiations.

As a result, he promised to attract instructors who will train 4.5 thousand Ukrainian pilots in the summer of 2024.

This is before Macron stated About the possibility of using French weapons to retaliate against Ukraine on Russian territory.

Previously Macron announced Transfer of French fighters to Ukraine.
