President Andrzej Duda met with representatives of the agricultural union “Orka” at the presidential palace. These are farmers who have been protesting in the Sejm since May 9 and have been on hunger strike for the past few days! The Deputy Head of the President’s Chancellery, Piotr Ćwik, and Minister Wojciech Kolarski are also taking part in the talks.
Kolarski said on RMF FM radio in the morning that the meeting was the result of the president’s conversation with protesting farmers, which took place last Wednesday. Andrzej Duda then came to the Sejm to listen to information from the Deputy Prime Minister and the head of the Ministry of National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, about the state of state security.

– added Kolarski.
On May 9, a group of eleven farmers started a protest in the Sejm, demanding a meeting with Prime Minister Donald Tusk on the EU Green Deal. However, the demonstrators were not allowed to experience this! On Wednesday, May 22, they left the Sejm building after a conversation with Andrzej Duda, who invited them to a meeting. The President of the Republic of Poland spoke to them in the Sejm as the sole representative of the authorities.
