“If anyone dies, it will now be in the hands of Szymon Hołownia and Donald Tusk. Donald Tusk also created this monster by remaining silent for five months when Szymon Hołownia carried out the entire anti-abortion campaign, lying, manipulating and abusing power,” Marta Lempart, the leader of the Women’s Strike, told journalists. Activists from organizations such as the Women’s Strike and the Abortive Dream Team claim they were not allowed into the parliamentary gallery. They wanted to observe the work of the lower house of the Polish parliament on four projects to liberalize abortion regulations.
Today, the Sejm begins work on four projects to liberalize abortion regulations; two of them were prepared by the left, and one by the Civic Coalition and the Third Way, namely PSL and Polska 2050.

“Marshal Hołownia decided that we were not entitled to that.
Marta Lempart said at a press conference in the Sejm that “almost the entire Women’s Strike and people of the Abortion Dream Team and the East Initiative were banned by Marshal Hołownia from entering the Sejm Gallery while abortion projects were being processed.”
We received passes without gallery access. I am talking about forty people from all over Poland (…) who do not want to enter the stands and listen to the debate, because Marshal Hołownia has decided that we have no right to do so.
– said Lempart at a conference of activists from the Women’s Strike and the Abortion Dream Team.
During an earlier press conference of the Left Club and activists, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Policy Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk (left) called on Sejm President Szymon Hołownia “to allow public participation” in the debate of Thursday about abortion projects.
We are calling for the opening of the gallery
– she added.
As she said: “Today we are faced with an extremely important debate that women have been waiting for for thirty years.”
We want it to be substantive. We don’t want to talk about whether abortion is bad or good. We want to talk about the fact that abortion exists. Every day a woman needs an abortion. Does this really mean that more than half of Polish society in the 21st century has to think about it?
she asked.
At the Left conference, activists from the Abortion Dream Team showed a symbolic receipt, which states that “Poland has saved almost 50 million PLN on abortion in 18 years, which was spent by organizations that help organize termination of pregnancy.”
The receipt with the slogan “Poland’s abortion debt” listed the amount the Polish state should reportedly return to organizations that assist with abortion. The voucher in the form of a large plate was brought to the House by MPs from the Left. They also presented it at a press conference and posed with the receipt for photos with pro-abortion activists.
Abortion was, is and will be – we just want it to be safe!
Seating for 80 people
The spokesperson for the Sejm chairman, Katarzyna Karpa-Świderek, told PAP that the Sejm gallery “has a limited number of seats. All 80 people nominated by the Left Club entered the Sejm, and 30 of them will also enter the gallery.
The gallery should accommodate guests from the left as well as from other parliamentary clubs
– she emphasized.
She added that Lewica got more seats in the stands than other clubs. She said there are also 37 guided tours in the Sejm today that must enter the gallery.
Is Hołownia “afraid of women”?
Marta Lempart did not mince her words during the press conference and attacked both Marshal Szymon Hołownia and Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The latter politician in particular has recently made a rather radical – at least declarative – turn to the left.
Marshal Hołownia is so hysterical that we have just learned that we are forbidden to enter the parliamentary gallery. I have with me a letter I received from the commander of the Marshal Guard during the PiS era, banning me from entering the Sejm. Well, today I was denied access to the gallery by Mr Marshal Hołownia, who finds it unpleasant to see people wearing ‘legal abortion’ T-shirts.
– said the leader of the Women’s Strike.
Marta Lempart and Strike Women say they are banned from entering the Sejm gallery during the debate on abortion laws
Mr Hołownia may be lying that there are 106 abortions per year in Poland. And there are 120,000
– she added.
When asked whether activists would try to enter the gallery despite the ban, she replied ironically:
We won’t do this unless you have a way. Do you have a way? No, we will not try it by force
– she added.
One of the activists intervened:
Mr. Hołownia is afraid of women!
Mr Hołownia is scared. Yesterday, Mr. Hołownia was asked by activists of the “Wschód” Initiative why he abuses power, lies, why he did not want to register abortion projects for 70 days, why he does not allow the debate, together with the Confederation? He didn’t really like that we were no longer allowed to enter the gallery
– said Marta Lempart.
“‘Donald Tusk also created this monster’
There were also quite serious accusations against the Chairman of the Sejm and the Prime Minister. One of the journalists asked what would happen if a woman were to die after one of the bills was not passed, for example because she did not have access to abortion.
I put a lot of trust in Minister Leszczyna, who is doing everything she can to make up for her fellow coalition partners.
– Marta Lempart replied.
However, if anyone dies, it will obviously be at the hands of Szymon Hołownia and Donald Tusk. Donald Tusk also created this monster by remaining silent for five months, when Szymon Hołownia waged a whole anti-abortion campaign, abused power, lied and manipulated.
– she added.
If something happens, it’s also Donald Tusk’s fault, who just let it happen. And I ask what more Mr Hołownia should do to make Donald Tusk respond to what he is doing as President of the Sejm. Because, as you can see, he is not fit to be a marshal
– Lempart concluded her statement.
Lempart in the Sejm of the Republic of Poland with a ban on entering the gallery. If anyone dies, it will obviously be in the hands of Hołownia and Tusk, because it was Tusk who created this monster and remained silent for five months when Hołownia carried out a whole abortion campaign, abused power, lied. Do not fight.
Four abortion projects
The Left has submitted two projects regarding the so-called termination of pregnancy: one partially decriminalizes abortion and its assistance, the other allows the “procedure” to be carried out until the end of the 12th week of its duration.
The project of a group of MPs from the Civic Coalition club, in turn, assumes that a pregnant woman is entitled to this ‘health care’ during the first twelve weeks of pregnancy.
The latter, filed by Third Way, is in turn an amendment to the Law on Family Planning and Protection of the Human Fetus, “reversing” the 2020 Constitutional Court ruling.
Pro-life groups are protesting the projects and have set up the “Bell of the Unborn,” dedicated by Pope Francis, in front of the Sejm. Passers-by can ring the bell and parliamentarians eagerly took advantage of this opportunity.

It seems that the December 13 coalition wanted to cleverly divert attention from unrealized details for 100 days and excite Poles with ideological topics (abortion, in vitro, civil partnerships). Nowadays, however, it appears that the parliamentary majority is hurting itself with its own weapons, because everyone starts to argue with everyone else. And the issues that are fundamental to the lives of Poles – women, men, students, pensioners, parents, not to mention farmers – simply ‘lie’.
