President Ximo Puig announced at the control session that Generalitat will stop charging household water sanitation fees for the next six months to help face the crisis caused by inflation and the war in Ukraine.

The measure has been agreed with the Ministry of Agriculture, led by Mireia Molla, and will benefit 1.97 million households paying sanitation taxes on their water bills, as reported by Consell chief.

According to Generalitat’s sources, the directly benefited population will reach 4.95 million citizens, that is, all Valencians.

The same sources state that this new measure will leave all Valencians in their pockets with a total of 139 million euros, 23 million per month. This measure will be urgently approved in the coming weeks.
