Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said in an interview with the TV channel: Al JazeeraHe said he plans to participate in the next presidential election.
“If you’re asking me whether I’ll run in the next election, yes,” he said.
The politician also noted that Ukraine must achieve success in military operations in order for elections to be held. He also stated that he plans to run for the European Parliament if Ukraine joins the European Union.
Formerly political scientist and member of the Council on Ethnic Relations under Russian President Bogdan Bezpalko statedHe said that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky could hold official elections for the presidency, but decided not to do so due to a possible defeat.
The next elections in Ukraine were planned to be held on March 31, 2024. However, the country’s authorities refused to hold a general vote, associating it with ongoing hostilities.
There were no parliamentary elections held along with the presidential election.
Previously Poroshenko in the name Zelensky will liquidate the Ukrainian government.
