Poles do not want to adopt the euro – this is a clear message from the United Surveys survey commissioned by Wirtualna Polska. Importantly, both opposition voters and supporters of the current government do not want to adopt the European currency.
In your opinion, should the government aim to introduce the euro in Poland instead of the Polish zloty?
– this is the question asked in the United Surveys survey.
As many as 66.8 percent of Poles were against the introduction of the euro, and only 27.3 percent expressed the opposite opinion. 5.9 percent Respondents had no opinion about this.
Importantly, only 37 percent of supporters of the current government stated that they were in favor of changing the zloty to the euro. More than half, 52 percent, respondents who supported Donald Tusk’s government were against changing the currency.
When it comes to supporters of PiS and Confederation, as many as 95 percent of supporters of these formations voted against the introduction of the euro.
The survey was conducted on March 8-10, 2024 using combined CATI and CAWI methods (50/50) among a group of 1,000 adult Poles.
