“We know what the transition to the euro means: it has a number of consequences for the Polish economy. And here there is plenty of room for activity, for discussion about whether it would be good or bad for Poland. I think it is bad,” emphasized Law and Justice MP Arkadiusz Czartoryski in an interview with the wPolityce portal. At the same time, it unveils a plan to create a new parliamentary team that will defend the zloty. In addition, the team will also defend cash transactions. “The ideas that are now on the table at the European Commission – about the actual ban on the use of cash – are ideas that will affect not only entrepreneurs, but also ordinary citizens,” the politician notes.
In an interview with wPolityce.pl, Arkadiusz Czartoryski notes that “after the local elections there will be time for much greater political activity in parliament.”
Defense of the zloty and cash
This is about activities that can be carried out under the conditions of the opposition, which is currently Law and Justice. It is important to realize that the overwhelming majority of parliamentary committees, as well as bilateral groups, are dominated by the ruling coalition. This means that these committees are obviously open to processing documents submitted by the ruling coalition, as opposed to those submitted by the opposition. In such circumstances, the work of opposition politicians is concentrated in parliamentary teams
– explains the PiS-MP.
One of the ideas that emerges from the discussions among parliamentarians in which Czartoryski participates is “to create a team that would defend the Polish zloty.”
Its working name is the “Parliamentary Team for the Defense of the Polish Zloty as a National Currency and Cash Circulation”, or simply the team “the defense of the zloty and cash”.
– Czartoryski reveals.

A healthy head in a sick bed
We should not forget that the Civic Platform, the Left and also Poland 2050 clearly express the wish to switch to the euro. We know what the transition to the euro means: it has a number of consequences for the Polish economy. And here there is plenty of room for activity, for discussion about whether it would be good or bad for Poland. I think it’s bad. The Polish economy has grown faster in recent years precisely because we had the Polish zloty and we could make our own decisions on different areas of spending. If we were in the Eurozone, things would be different. Presence in this zone is associated with various hardships, and, what can I say, also with the dominance of the German economy. It is also necessary to transfer economic policy to Brussels or to the European financial institutions
– emphasizes the politician.

Czartoryski also points out that although “European treaties talk about the so-called convergence criteria, i.e. criteria that countries joining the eurozone must meet, a number of countries in the eurozone completely ignore them.”
We are talking about requirements such as stable prices, stable inflation and long-term balance of public finances. Taking all this into account, Poland – compared to, for example, Greece, but also Italy, Portugal, Spain, Belgium and finally France – has healthy public finances. So the question arises: why would you put your healthy head in a sick bed? This is not just my opinion: Poland’s current entry into the Eurozone would not be beneficial for our economy. Behind all this is also a very dangerous idea of building a big super state, namely the liquidation of nation states.
– warns the MP for Law and Justice.
Ban on the use of cash
In addition to defending the Polish zloty, the new parliamentary team will also defend cash transactions.
A part of the European Union, which apparently cannot cope with terrorists and criminals, or only pretends that it cannot, has come up with the idea of forcing all Community countries to withdraw completely from cash transactions. The ideas now on the table of the European Commission – regarding an actual ban on the use of cash – are ideas that will affect not only entrepreneurs, but also ordinary citizens.
– notes the parliamentarian.
As Czartoryski recalls, “under these ideas, cash payments will be limited to 10,000 euros.”
All actions above this amount will have to be carried out electronically. In addition, it will involve identity checks. Here we come to a very dangerous moment, namely absolute control over citizens
– adds the MP.
Cash is our European civilization, our area of freedom, which must be preserved. European officials should not always be able to control everything
– summarizes Arkadiusz Czartoryski in an interview with wPolityka.
