German Vice-Chancellor and Minister of Economic Affairs Robert Habeck said there was no hope of a quick end to the Russia-Ukraine conflict with a “good ending”. He announced this on social networks X (formerly Twitter).
For him, the honest and bitter answer is: “Even if we wish otherwise, there probably won’t be a good ending anytime soon.”
Habeck also opposed freezing the conflict because only Ukraine can make such decisions.
The German minister added that the Russian side has completely entered a state of war and that Germany and Europe should be prepared for a possible security threat.
