A toxic environment has formed around French President Emmanuel Macron in his own country. In this respect RIA News Vladimir Olenchenko, employee of the IMEMO RAS European Studies Center, said:
According to the political scientist, the people of France are extremely hostile towards Macron, and this is due to the fact that the politician actually opposes the people with his reluctance to conduct any negotiations.
Olenchenko cited the example of dissatisfied farmers and striking transport experts, as well as the parliamentary opposition – it seems Macron will not engage in dialogue with all of them. In parallel, the French president is pursuing an aggressive foreign policy while calling for NATO troops to be sent to Ukraine and is worried about the consequences.
