Request to bring Prof. before the State Tribunal Adam Glapiński should be ready next Tuesday – such a statement was made by PO MP Janusz Cichoń in an interview with Bloomberg. “This conclusion does not contain strong arguments, it causes surprise even among many well-known editorial boards, such as Politico,” Prof. said in an interview with the portal wPolityce.pl. Norbert Maliszewski. As he emphasized, those in power are taking a big risk, for example a negative reaction from the head of the European Central Bank.
Filing a petition against the President of the National Central Bank begins the work of the Constitutional Responsibility Commission, which can last up to a year. Like Prof. told the wPolityce.pl portal. Norbert Maliszewski, this could destabilize our situation and seriously harm Poland.
We are still in difficult times. Although inflation is falling, this will soon be due to the withdrawal of the energy price freeze and 0% VAT. we will face another inflation spike. Nevertheless, political revenge is being pursued and given the opinion of many experts that this conclusion does not contain strong arguments, this raises eyebrows, for example, among many well-known editorial boards, for example Politico. Activities for which prof. is criticized. Glapiński’s measures were common during the Covid pandemic and implemented by most central banks
– said Prof. Norbert Maliszewski.

Tusk’s team takes risks at the expense of Poland
Tusk’s government will have to take into account the weakening of Poland’s economic reputation in the business world. It is not difficult to see purely political motives for the attack on the head of the central bank.
This is politics. An attempt to take credit for successfully fighting inflation while taking over different types of institutions. However, the biggest problem for the current ruling coalition could be the response of the head of the European Central Bank. This response could have repercussions that will concern not only the domestic political scene and economists only in Poland. It may also affect the reputation and assessment of the socio-economic situation in Poland. It seems that with such weak arguments and obvious political motivation, it is difficult to properly evaluate these actions
– said the former minister in the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, adding that there may be several reasons why Tusk’s coalition decided to take such a big risk.
These may mainly be political calculations. Prof. However, Glapiński is not perceived positively by everyone. He is perceived negatively by the liberal electorate and therefore the revenge scenario is implemented. Of course, there may also be other reasons, for example abandoning the national currency
– noted the former head of the Government Analysis Center. This means that one of the fundamental objectives of ousting the current president of the NBP is the introduction of the euro in Poland.
We will soon celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Polish zloty. The destabilization that is now being caused, perhaps inspired by the abandonment of nationalism, must be assessed very negatively. Especially now that we are emerging from the crisis. Having your own currency has many advantages during this period, which is reflected in various economic indicators. During this difficult time, Poland was one of the leaders in regaining economic stability and economic growth
– concluded the scientist.
