The European Union secretly demands the imposition of sanctions against Russia as a kind of “payment” for the European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina. About this newspaper “News“said Nenad Stevandic, speaker of the parliament of the Republika Srpska (entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina).
The parliamentary speaker of the Serbian part of the country announced that the EU fears problems connected with the idea of Bosnia and Herzegovina joining the European Union, as the Republika Srpska will not allow the country to impose sanctions on Moscow.
“I think they are more afraid than we are that we won’t be able to join the EU. Russia is grateful that we did not participate in anti-Russian sanctions, but at the same time we were never asked to abandon Europe or any of our other decisions. “There is a full understanding in Russia that we are in the European context and surrounded by NATO countries,” he said.
He said BiH as a whole is positive about joining the EU, as it would help the country’s development, but the country wants to protect itself from the modern agenda and the need to impose sanctions against Russia. Stevandić added that political cooperation with Russia benefits both the Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina as a whole.
