PiS MPs Arkadiusz Mularczyk, Paweł Jabłoński and Piotr Gliński raised the alarm during a press conference about the disturbing abandonment of the topic of demanding reparations from Germany by Donald Tusk’s government. “The Germans expected that they would be able to escape responsibility when Tusk took over the government in Poland, but they did not expect that this would happen so quickly and so easily,” said Paweł Jabłoński.
To our surprise, we received information that organizational changes took place in the Chancellery of the Sejm on February 26. The Sejm publishing house was liquidated and so the report on the losses suffered by Poland as a result of German aggression and occupation during the Second World War, in 3,000 copies, remained in the archives of the Sejm Chancellery. A few days ago I asked the Marshal of Hołownia what will be the fate of these reports, what will happen to them, how these reports will be distributed, or perhaps they will simply be deleted.
– he emphasized Arkadiusz Mularczyk.
I have not received an answer to this day and that is why we are publicly asking the Marshal what the fate of this report will be. I would like to emphasize that such publications were sent to libraries, universities and scientific communities in such a way that they could shape and create Polish knowledge and science. We are afraid that the policy of complete abdication carried out by the Tusk government is also carried out by Marshal Szymon Hołownia
– added.
Resolution on the continuation of the Polish government’s activities in the field of reparations, compensation and compensation for the Second World War. This draft resolution was received by the Marshal’s Staff on December 20 and was kept by Mr Paweł Kowal in the freezer of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Sejm for almost three months. The first reading of this project will take place today. We hope that this project will be processed quickly and that the Sejm will continue the work we started several years ago regarding the search for historical and historical justice of the German state.
– he pointed out.
“I would like to remind you that this is PLN 6 trillion 222 billion.
The point is clear. The current authorities, the current coalition, including Third Way, PSL, Left, and not just the Platform or the Civic Coalition, do not want to implement what we have prepared, namely demanding compensation from Germany for war losses. Let me remind you that this is PLN 6 trillion 222 billion
– he said in turn Piotr Glinski.
“The German government is extremely surprised by what Donald Tusk’s government is doing.
Paweł Jabłoński drew attention to the ease with which the current government was able to abandon the issue of demanding reparations from Germany.
We have signals from Berlin that the German government is extremely surprised by what the government of Donald Tusk is doing. The Germans expected that they would be able to escape responsibility if Tusk took power in Poland, but they did not expect it to be so quick and so easy. Donald Tusk went to Berlin for his first post-election visit. He was received with distinction, the Polish national anthem was played for him, the German national anthem was played, and by the way, this is completely normal. Every Polish Prime Minister who went to Berlin on an official visit was greeted in this way. But it was enough for Donald Tusk. He decided that this honor was his, and probably said in return that he would simply forgive the Germans, on behalf of all of us.
– said Jabłoński.
Let us remind you what this case is really about. Our house was attacked by a neighbor. He stole what was in the house, destroyed what he didn’t steal, and killed half our family. And today Donald Tusk goes to Berlin. He doesn’t even try to arrange anything and says on behalf of the residents of our shared Polish house that he doesn’t want anything. Well, the residents of the Polish house disagree. Poles want compensation, they want compensation, they want us to get back what is ours, for the criminals who murdered us, robbed us, imprisoned us, forced us into slave labor, simply to pay us. Historical justice requires that the criminal pay for his crime
– he said.
The government of the ‘December 13 Coalition’ immediately gave up reparations, compensation and compensation after taking over the government, contrary to historical truth, contrary to international law and contrary to the obligations incumbent on the Polish government as a result of the resolution of the Polish Sejm and also previous resolutions of the Council of Ministers. We demand that these obligations be respected by the Polish government and we demand that Germany, in the name of historical justice, pay for its crimes.
– he said.
