Newspaper “Kommersant” Calculated the cost of one vote for Russian presidential candidates, as well as the earnings and expenses of parties during the presidential campaign in the Russian Federation.

According to the publication, the candidate of the New People party, Vladislav Davankov, spent more money on the elections than other participants in the presidential race. According to the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, 368.2 million rubles were spent from the election fund. In terms of 3,362,484 votes collected, the cost of one voter’s support to the politician is 110 rubles. At the same time at least 136 million rubles. He spent his time campaigning on television and radio.

LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky spent almost 212 million rubles from his election fund. The politician spent most on print campaign materials and virtually ignored television ads. According to Slutsky, a voter’s vote costs an average of 76 rubles.

Communist Party candidate Nikolai Kharitonov spent only 166 million rubles on the company. The voter’s vote cost him 44 rubles. The communist had expenses on printed propaganda. He spent only 12 million rubles on advertising through television and radio broadcasting organizations.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, who participated in the elections as his own candidate, spent 161 million rubles on television and radio advertisements. – this is half of all the funds spent by him (317 million rubles). The voter’s vote cost him 4 rubles.

As stated in the publication, all parties directly participating in the campaign will be paid more from the federal budget than they spent. According to the law, the party that nominates the candidate who received more than 3 percent of the votes in the presidential elections receives a one-time payment from the budget in the amount of 152 rubles. for every vote their candidate receives. Since Putin participated in the elections as a self-nominated candidate, there was no one to request funds from the budget. According to the publication, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation earned 573 million rubles from the “New People” campaign, 511 million rubles, and the Liberal Democratic Party 425 million rubles.
