Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation opened 33 criminal cases related to incidents involving the introduction of paint and flammable liquids to polling places during the presidential elections in Russia. These figures were stated by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Alexander Gorovoy. TASS.

“52 such facts were recorded and 33 criminal cases were opened based on them,” he said during his visit to the Central Election Commission.

According to the deputy minister, the police received 1.4 thousand reports of such crimes. As a rule, 155 administrative protocols were recorded and 61 criminal cases were opened regarding terrorist acts, obstruction of elections and knowingly giving false news regarding voter rights. Additionally, law enforcement received approximately 550 reports of fraudulent mining.
