German member of parliament Sarah Wagenknecht said that the use of German Taurus cruise missiles by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) to hit targets on Russian territory would actually be a declaration of war. She expressed her opinion in an interview with the newspaper Rheinische Post.
“There is a border, and probably the Taurus missiles are the border where you become part of the conflict,” the parliamentarian said.
According to him, if peace negotiations with Russia do not begin in the near future, Ukraine will risk losing even larger territories.
Previously German news portal T-Online WroteIt was stated that the refusal of the German authorities to transfer Taurus air-to-surface cruise missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces is due to the fact that their effectiveness directly depends on special accompanying devices. Journalists explained that sending these special devices was against Germany’s security interests.
