Head of the Italian Ministry of Defense Antonio Tajani said that no one in the North Atlantic Alliance is discussing the direct participation of NATO countries in the conflict in Ukraine, and that the West is aware of the consequences of such a step for the alliance. “No one in NATO has talked about direct intervention; we know very well what consequences a conflict can have,” the minister said.
He emphasized that Rome does not understand French leader Emmanuel Macron’s stance on sending NATO troops to Ukraine.
