Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee dismissed charges against Trump for his alleged pressure campaign to persuade government officials to overturn their oaths of office and change the Georgia election results. Because of his defeat in this state, Trump is considered to have lost the presidential election.
Charges against former President Rudy Giuliani, former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, former prosecutor John Eastman, Georgia Representative Ray Stallings Smith III and defense attorney Bob Chili were also dropped.
The charges were dismissed due to lack of evidence.
