Minister Barbara Nowacka decided to attack President Duda when she was asked about a possible veto on the amendment of the Pharmaceutical Act regarding the morning-after pill. “He’s just kidding himself,” she said arrogantly. She added that the government is prepared for President Duda to block certain regulations.
Nowacka attacks the president
Minister of Education Barbara Nowacka was asked on TVN24 about a possible veto by President Andrzej Duda on the amendment of the Pharmaceutical Law regarding the so-called morning-after pills. Minister in the President’s Chancellery Wojciech Kolarski said on RMF FM that he expected the president to veto this bill. At the end of February, President Duda was asked on Polsat News about the so-called morning-after pill, and he said it was a hormonal bomb.
We know the president has radically conservative views and we are prepared for him to block regulations in many cases. However, the morning-after pill issue is downright ridiculous
– she answered.
She ruled that President Duda may not know that the so-called morning-after pill is legal but requires a prescription. This means that a girl who wants to buy it must have time and a chance to get a prescription. Nowacka stated that in such a situation, access to it is difficult for, for example, less wealthy people, residents of smaller towns or people who have difficulty using online stores or electronic prescription machines.
First lady
As usual on TVN24, there was also a question… about the first lady’s lack of response. Nowacka responded that she was no longer surprised by the behavior of the president or his wife.
However, I appreciate the major role she played in stopping the so-called Lex Czarnek
– she added.
What courage!
