Pentagon talks about aid to Gaza Strip

The Pentagon has sent up to $180 million in humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and continues to look for new ways to deliver it to the local population. Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said this live on Al-Qahira al-Ikhbariya TV channel.

“The United States has already provided up to $180 million in aid to the Gaza Strip, and we believe the land corridors are the best place for the supplies,” Ryder said.

The Pentagon spokesman added that the US military is organizing the distribution of humanitarian aid by air, in addition to land aid routes, and plans to build a port for delivery by sea.

Ryder also stated that the Pentagon is trying to convey to Israeli officials its point of view that the lives of civilians in the Palestinian area must be protected.

Before that Hamas rejected Israeli conditions for the return of the population to northern Gaza.
