Zaporozhye Region Governor Evgeny Balitsky said that he has no plans to meet with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi in Sochi. writes about this RIA News.

Before that, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova reportedIt was stated that a series of high-level meetings will be held within the scope of the IAEA chief’s visit. Topics will include discussions on further interaction between the Russian Federation and the institution. It is also planned to hold working consultations on security issues of the Zaporozhye NPP.

Kremlin official representative Dmitry Peskov stated that contacts between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Director General of the IAEA are not excluded.

Grossi in February visit Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). He arrived on the territory of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant, accompanied by agency employees and representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The purpose of this visit was to help protect the facility and prevent a radiological accident.
