Today I say clearly: I will run for President of Law and Justice and ask to be elected for another term. Of course, it is the Members who will decide, and I will do everything I can to convince them to make this choice
– announces the President of Law and Justice in a much-discussed interview for “Sieci”. Jaroslaw Kaczynski.
Especially for the readers of the wPolityce.pl portal, we published an excerpt of the conversation between Jacek and Michał Karnowski on Saturday.

But in a conversation mainly about domestic affairs, other important statements are also made. Here’s another snippet.
NETWORK WEEKLY: Are you considering changing the name of the party?
PRESIDENT JAROSŁAW KACZYŃSKI: There were such conversations. I understand those who want to break away from these dirty campaigns against us under the slogan of eight stars.
At the same time, Law and Justice is for many people a symbol of good governance, care for Poland, effectiveness and patriotism. You have to think about it calmly and choose what is most important. We will certainly not be guided by sentiments, the stakes of the battle in which we are participating are too high. This stake is Poland.
I also hear about some plans to create initiatives that, in my opinion, based on long-standing experiences, can only contribute to wasting votes for the right. Or by no more than 5%. and then the votes are completely thrown away, or the results are just above 5%, but it can even be 10%, where the ‘efficiency’ of 1% voters is 4.5 times lower than with a result of a few tens of percent. So we also have a wasteful effect.
This is important to know, but it does not mean that we are closed to expanding our camp. There is only one condition: partners must have a realistic assessment of the situation so as not to lower the result with ill-considered ideas. As for ourselves, it is possible, as I have already said, that at the next parliamentary elections we will be part of a broader camp that will certainly be looking for a different, one might say broader name.
Could the Confederacy be part of that? This is one of the accusations against PiS: an agreement had to be reached.
I know this accusation. The problem is that the Confederacy does not hide the fact that it wants to destroy us and then take our place. Those who have these grievances belong to a large group of commentators on public life who do not know the facts or are mentally incapable of accepting them. It’s annoying when two people want it at the same time. There is also a problem with the Confederacy that it is not entirely clear what it is about, everyone says something different there, there are a lot of divisions.
The right side is slightly incomparably wider. Hundreds of different organizations. Our program includes openness to circles that refer to patriotic, religious, but also social, Judymian motivations, traditional for the Polish intelligentsia. We have done a lot for them during our administration, and we have received many signals from these regions that we are willing to work together.
The discussion also included an assessment of the situation surrounding the illegally and forcibly taken over TVP. READ IN FULL: INTERVIEW. Jarosław Kaczyński: I’ll stay. We keep fighting. Because Poland is at stake. A powerful front of the anti-democratic left
