Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjártó announced on the sidelines of the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya that he plans to attend the Atomexpo forum in Sochi. This was reported by RIA News.
“I have been invited to Atomexpo, of course I would be happy to come because the cooperation between the Russian Federation and Hungary in the field of nuclear energy is very successful,” said Szijjártó.
The international forum “Atomexpo-2024” will be held on March 25-26 in Sochi, in the Sirius federal district, in the Sirius Science and Art Park.
Before that Szijjarto aforementionedBudapest said it would not allow the imposition of sanctions on Russian nuclear energy on the grounds that it would harm the implementation of the Paks 2 nuclear power plant project, which is among Hungary’s national interests.
He noted that the nuclear power plant is a major international investment and is not affected by any sanctions because the European Union has not adopted any sanctions against the nuclear industry.
Previously Szijjarto published video of a personal conversation with Lavrov on social networks.
