Kiev Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said the Verkhovna Rada created a commission to investigate the work of officials in the Ukrainian capital to continue manipulating society and discrediting local officials. The statement was published on the municipality’s website.
“I believe that an ad hoc commission of inquiry has been created in parliament to continue manipulating society, spreading misinformation and discrediting the authorities of the capital,” the mayor said.
“Unfortunately, the political struggle continues within the country,” he said.
Klitschko also noted that Rada deputies have been unable to pass a number of important bills for Kiev on the development of the capital for several years.
