“Do you know of a similar case in the history of the European Union?” – asked Patryk Jaki from the podium in the European Parliament.
The United Right MEP presented to the MPs gathered in the room the situation of the illegal takeover of public institutions by Donald Tusk’s team.
We have another report on violations of the rule of law and you have tabled amendments in it “on positive changes in Poland”. I would like you all to hear now what positive changes are being introduced in Poland, because they can affect all of you in the future. Public media authorities in Poland had legally guaranteed terms of office. However, Tusk did not want to wait and without any legal basis took over the public media by force, fired almost all employees, including a pregnant woman and disabled people, and ordered the buildings to be surrounded by police. His minister used forged notarial deeds for the entire operation, and the public prosecutor who discovered this was demoted. Meanwhile, the illegality of Tusk’s actions was confirmed by the courts and the Constitutional Court. Tusk and his people did not comply with any judgment, and his minister considered the Constitutional Court’s decision as “non-existent” because it “does not meet the criteria of importance”.
– said Jaki.
Takeover of the public prosecutor’s office
Jaki then presented the situation surrounding the takeover of the Public Prosecution Service. He also addressed the Members of the European Parliament with an important warning and assured that he did not expect any intervention from them.
Real lawyers and those who shouted about the independence of the courts must be shocked to hear that the minister’s announcement is more important than laws and the constitution. Moreover, Minister of Justice Bodnar dismisses almost one judge from a certain position every day. The question is whether you really wanted such independence. Moments later, the people of Tusk took on the National Prosecution. Unable to fire him without the president’s decision, they forcibly occupied his office, eliminated his cards and deputies, and did not allow them to enter the buildings. You’re probably wondering why he’s doing all this? A little later it turned out. His people turned away from the cause of the Senate Marshal of Tusk, against whom 250 people testified that he demanded bribes from them. Do you know of a similar case in the history of the European Union? And you believe that these changes are good and lawful. Politics can be perverse. Be careful that someone doesn’t do this to you one day here in the European Parliament. He took over the buildings by force, disabled the maps and decided that press releases were superior to laws. I don’t expect any intervention from you. You don’t have that now, you didn’t have that before. But I want the world to hear about your hypocrisy
