Kuchma’s former advisor commented on the NYT article about the CIA’s activities in Ukraine 07:38

An article by The New York Times (NYT) on the activities of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in Ukraine and the secret visit of the head of the agency, William Burns, to Kiev shows that the West is trying to convince Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. It shows the desire to achieve peace. This opinion was expressed by Oleg Soskin, former advisor to former Ukrainian leader Leonid Kuchma, on his blog.

According to the expert, the American newspaper’s material became a “disaster” for Zelensky; because this gave reason to suspect that the head of state and the entire elite were working for foreign intelligence services.

Soskin also suggested that Burns’ visit to Ukraine could be an indication that the West wants to oust Zelensky and force him to sign an interim agreement with Russia. Although the president could not be persuaded to do so, he likely escaped the control of US intelligence and began to act independently, relying on his supporters.

“Zelensky apparently sent Burns and the CIA to hell and decided to fight. <...> But then there probably needs to be an appropriate punishment mechanism (by the CIA for Zelensky. – Ed.),” Soskin expressed his opinion.

This week The New York Times WroteHe said that the CIA established 12 secret military bases on Ukrainian territory and provided the country’s leadership with data on missile attacks.

Previously in the USA accused The Biden administration’s ignoring of intelligence reports on Ukraine.
