Aleksandra Wiśniewska, a member of parliament from the Civic Coalition, stated in the TVP Info studio that the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine began before February 24, 2022. She said the bombings took place on January 14, 2022. Internet users immediately noticed the mistake and pointed it out to the KO politician. Among the comments we read: “no wonder, she survived all this with high functioning at the operational level”, “who do you invite as an expert?” As the politician of Sovereign Poland notes: “Wiśniewska was there during the Russian invasion of Ukraine (…) before the war started.”
After the attack on public media, the level of neo-TVP decreased in terms of information provided, including its content. Similarly, the number of guests also decreased. Internet users criticize KO MP Wiśniewska for her lack of knowledge about the outbreak of war in Ukraine. On TVP Info, the KO politician lamented the plight of Poland’s neighbors and boasted about her achievements in humanitarian aid in the country hit by Russian attacks.
The KO MP does not know the date of the outbreak of war in Ukraine
I also have more difficult images in mind. There were a few more difficult ones. When you lead a humanitarian mission, this obviously requires a very high level of functioning at the operational level and a lot of composure
– Wiśniewska said on TVP Info on Saturday.
Two such situations: first, standing under the cross, where there used to be a mass grave in Bucza. Then, on January 14, 2022, a massive rocket bombardment hit the building of our Dnieper base in eastern Ukraine, collapsing 236 apartment buildings, apartments and flats.
– said the KO MP on the anniversary of the Russian attack on Ukraine, February 24, 2022. Her report would indicate that a humanitarian mission was active in this country before the war, and the attacks took place before the large-scale Russian invasion .
An avalanche of reactions
After Wiśniewska’s statement, a wave of reactions appeared on the Internet.
Natalia Janoszek Polish politics in action. Aleksandra Wiśniewska was there during the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the first rocket bombardments in Ukraine, she already survived… January 14, 2022. – exactly one month before the start of the war
– writes Marcel Bielecki from Sovereign Poland sarcastically.
We all know about AW’s amazing adventures in humanitarian operations in the Middle East, right? We remember Greece, right? We remember diving, right? This is Ukraine now, right? We will find out that Ukraine survived the first rocket bombardment on January 14, 2022, right? (…) But… no wonder, Mrs. AW survived all this with high functioning at an operational level, yes
– designates one of the Internet users.
The pride of Wiśniewska
On the one hand, the KO MP complains about the fate of Ukrainian orphans, and on the other hand, she brags about her position and achievements.
In fact, I immediately went to the border, where I supported the activities of the Happy Kids Foundation and together with the UN Global Compact in Poland. Immediately after the invasion, a few days after the invasion, we managed to organize the evacuation of children from Ukrainian orphanages to Poland
– said the KO politician.
However, her statement lacked information – as we read on the foundation’s website – the evacuation of the children was carried out ‘in close cooperation with the Ministry of Child Rights Protection and Adoption of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Family and Child Protection . Social Policy of the Republic of Poland.” The war broke out during the Law and Justice government, which committed itself to providing humanitarian and military support to Ukraine.
Wiśniewska also boasted about her involvement in the activities of another organization.
A few weeks after the evacuations began, I went to Ukraine for the next twelve months as head of the international humanitarian mission Intersos, headquartered in Rome. I was first sent to Vinnytsia, in western Ukraine
– added the KO MP, who noted that the organization’s headquarters are in the capital of Italy; However, her name does not appear on the official Intersos website under the ‘people/persone’ tab. Moreover, the city of Vinnytsia is located in the central part of Ukraine, and not in the west, as Wiśniewska claims.
Internet users also criticized neo-TVP, pointing out its low level of expression.
There were comments like: “who do you invite as an expert”, “another fairy tale for the naive”, “what kind of TV is true”, “superwoman”.
