Chairman of the Sejm and leader of Poland 2050, Szymon Hołownia, said he does not rule out that his party will support KO candidate Rafał Trzaskowski in the Warsaw presidential elections. We are finalizing the talks, I do not rule out that it will end with this scenario, Hołownia noted.
Hołownia was asked on Polsat News whether Polska 2050 would support Rafał Trzaskowski as a candidate for Warsaw’s president.
When the time comes, we’ll talk about it, but we really support collaboration where that collaboration is possible. We really care. In Warsaw we care about a very specific area, a specific area of social issues in which we feel strongly competent. We are finalizing the talks, I do not rule out that it will end with this scenario
– he answered.
When asked when the case would be resolved, he said “in the coming days.”
On the one hand, Warsaw is a rewarding field, but on the other hand, it is a city that really deserves to no longer be a training ground for central politics, where different people meet, test each other and then things happen. something comes out or something comes out. not, it only deserves people who love Warsaw, who want to be connected to this city, who actually see their future in Warsaw and I think we have such people
– said Hołownia.
At the same time, he added that “there is no point in entering into a battle that will most likely lose.”
However, it makes perfect sense to build sensible coalitions so that we can have agency and get things done that matter to us.
– emphasized the Marshal of the Sejm.
He noted that Poland 2050 puts forward its candidates where it can win, and where it is necessary to work with those who have greater opportunities, it works with them.
According to current information, in addition to Rafał Trzaskowski as a KO candidate, Tobiasz Bocheński – PiS candidate, Deputy Speaker of the Senate Magdalena Biejat as a left candidate and Confederation MP Przemysław Wipler, who said that “he is the joint candidate of the Confederation and the Non-Workers of the Local Government Party will run for the office of President of Warsaw.
