The special action would take place before noon today. Our findings show that the files were transferred in the absence of the public prosecutor who handled the case. He is on holiday himself. We have requested clarification about this.
The proceedings in question are being conducted at the District Public Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw. The files were transferred to the regional prosecutor’s office in Warsaw in connection with their inspection. The absence of the reporting public prosecutor has nothing to do with the fact that the files were sent for inspection
– we read in the response of the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office to questions from the wPolityce.pl portal.
In January, the portal wPolityce.pl was the first to report that investigators wanted to file charges against Joanna K., a notary who took part in the operation to take over the public media. Editor Marcin Dobski had already informed about the ‘entrance’ group.
The basis for making this decision was the results of numerous procedural activities carried out during the investigation. Prosecutors searched the notary office of Joanna K., as well as the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and collected the necessary evidence, including surveillance recordings of the place and time of the alleged conclusion of notarial acts. In addition, the collected documentation was analyzed and people involved in the events were interviewed. The findings show that the decisions on the basis of which changes were made to the boards of the public media were not adopted at the place and time indicated therein.
– reported the Warsaw Public Prosecutor’s Office in January this year.
In light of the evidence collected and the analyzes carried out, the Public Prosecution Service has concluded that there are reasonable grounds to accuse Joanna K. of establishing untruths in notarial deeds regarding changes in the boards of directors of important public media. This decision has not yet been announced to the suspect due to her absence in the country
– explained the researchers.
Let’s hope the files were transferred for inspection purposes only.
