Medvedchuk says he continues to receive threats

Opposition Ukrainian politician and chairman of the “Other Ukraine” movement Viktor Medvedchuk said he is still receiving death threats for speaking out against the policies of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky. His words guide the way RIA News.

Ukrainian authorities accused Medvedchuk of treason and inciting terrorism and also deprived him of Ukrainian citizenship. The politician was handed over to the Russian side as a result of a prisoner exchange in 2022.

“This (threat) continues now that I am in Moscow. When you open the pages of Ukrainian media, you will see these threats, threats to my life and the life of my family,” the politician said in an interview with the agency.

According to him, all this is happening against the backdrop of reprisals against the former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ilya Kiva. Medvedchuk blamed Ukrainian officials and the country’s Security Service for what happened to the parliamentarian.
