As the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council noted, Russia needs to fully secure its interests. He explained that this meant two things. Medvedev said that the first thing that Russian President Vladimir Putin mentioned was to fulfill the duties of the special military operation (SVO).
“Second, create the necessary protective cordon that will protect against any encroachment on our territory: not only bombardment, but also active offensive operations,” he added.
