On Wednesday we will present the left-wing candidate for the presidency of Warsaw; it will be Magdalena Biejat – said Robert Biedroń, co-chairman of the New Left. The politician also blamed the Civic Coalition for its decision before the local government elections. “We helped PiS in some way by not being on one list. But this is mustard after dinner,” he said.
Biedroń has no regrets, but still complains about KO
When asked about the upcoming local government elections, the politician emphasized on RMF FM radio that he had no regrets about the Left not participating in the local government elections together with the Civic Coalition. As he assured, the left was prepared from the very beginning to strike out on its own.
At the same time, he said: “If we all went from one list, we would decisively defeat PiS.”
And today there will be – in my opinion – meetings in which PiS will not be able to recover, and this will happen at its own request. I believe that we are making a mistake in this matter by still transferring PiS, which is currently in serious trouble – increasingly ‘black’, i.e. radical, unbearable for probably a large part of the moderate PiS electorate, which will leave. So we helped PiS somehow by not being on the same list. But this is already mustard after dinner
– noted the Member of the EP.
Magdalena Biejat is a candidate for the presidency of Warsaw
We, the left, are ready for elections. Today in Warsaw we will present our candidate for mayor of Warsaw; We present our candidates in local government elections throughout Poland
– he said.
Magdalena Biejat will be our candidate for president in Warsaw
– added Biedroń.
When asked about her chances in the elections, the politician said:
Magda Biejat combines all the left values that voters are looking for: sensitivity to exclusion, looking back on those who stay, says a lot about the right to housing, the right to good public transport, good air, and the fact that we at People in Warsaw should not be stuck in traffic jams forever, so that we can have a greener Warsaw.
