Farmers across Poland are protesting against the policies of the EU and the current government, including: introducing Green Deal solutions, as well as allowing duty-free trade in agricultural products from Ukraine. According to reports from PiS politicians, there was a dramatic situation in Bydgoszcz where gas was used against demonstrators. “We will definitely intervene in this case and ask parliamentary questions,” stressed Paweł Szrot, PiS MP, in an interview with wPolityce.pl.
Presenting the situation that took place today in Bydgoszcz, Paweł Szrot states that he was in the Sejm at that time, but he received reports from his colleagues about the development of events during the protest.
From their reports and the videos they sent me, it seemed very serious. Guards in unknown uniforms, use of gas. When MP Joanna Borowiak writes that a journalist from local radio PiK was injured while using gas, she agrees with the information I received.
– say Pawel Szrot. He warns that PiS MPs will not let this matter slide.
We will certainly intervene and ask parliamentary questions
– he makes it clear.
The PiS MP draws attention to the problem with the credibility of the deputy ministers of agriculture in Donald Tusk’s government.
I would just like to ask about the credibility of politicians like Kołodziejczak or Minister Nowak at the Ministry of Agriculture, who wanted to participate in these protests, and it ended the way it ended in the case of Mr Kołodziejczak – to say the least: he was not well received in the Lublin region. On the one hand, they support the demands of protesting farmers, and on the other hand, these farmers are being treated with gas under the Provincial Office, a government body.
– underlined.
It is clear that agricultural protests have a specific character, they are often sharp and decisive, but I think the way the demonstrators in Bydgoszcz were treated went way too far
– he adds.
Paweł Szrot scores points for Michał Kołodziejczak.
Mr Kołodziejczak would now like to sit astride the barricade, to be on both sides at the same time. It never works and now it’s clearly visible that it didn’t work. The peasants who protested in Borki welcomed him as they did – not very kindly
– say.
“Donald Tusk’s government supports the program for the liquidation of Polish agriculture.
Paweł Szrot sharply criticizes the solutions included in the Green Deal.
The Green Deal is a program for the liquidation of Polish agriculture, and not just Polish agriculture. Farmers from all over Europe know this very well and that is why they are protesting very vigorously in the streets of their cities
– underlined.
The past few years have been difficult for Polish agriculture – the pandemic, the war and the related issue of Ukrainian grain exports. My political environment here is not crystal clear, but we learn from our mistakes and are able to continuously correct our policies. However, the government of Donald Tusk supports the program for the liquidation of Polish agriculture, despite what some of its representatives declare against the Green Deal.
– he makes it clear.
not. ace
