A BBC debate on the current political and social situation in Poland took place in Warsaw – all as part of the World Questions series. Agnieszka Pomaska shared a photo with the debate participants on social media. The PO MP was immediately struck by “smiling Poland”.
Photo from the BBC debate
A BBC debate as part of the World Questions series took place in the Great Hall of the Royal Castle. Questions submitted by the audience just before the debate started concerned the current political and social situation in Poland. The host of the event was Jonny Dymond, and the participants were Mateusz Morawiecki, Magdalena Biejat, Agnieszka Pomaska and Krzysztof Bosak.
The debate lasted more than 100 minutes and the World Service channel will broadcast it on February 17 – both as a radio and television program.
The four debate participants took a photo together – Agnieszka Pomaska from PO published it on social media.
After the debate on @BBCWorld. About public media, restoration of the rule of law, Ukraine, security and a few other topics with the participation of a lively and large audience. The program will be broadcast on February 17
– said Pomaska.
A flood of ‘love’ from ‘smiling Poland’
It turns out that Agnieszka Pomaska made a lot of money from the ‘smiling Poland’ that voted for Tusk’s coalition.
Not all selfies are suitable for posting on social media.
What do you do and with whom? Maybe you should go straight to the putler? @pomaska so I wasn’t wrong, it was good to move to Gdynia to vote for @barbaraanowacka because it would have been a wasted vote for you. It’s a pity that you represent Gdańsk.
Madam MP, this man from the right DESTROYED both the rule of law and the public media, and openly promoted himself against the backdrop of pro-Putin politicians. Are you promoting yourself against this background today?
Madam MP… I beg you. I don’t want to mention this photo by name. Many of us probably don’t want that. I ask for a moment of reflection and possible verification… (removal).
It is shameful to admit this company, and expressing satisfaction from meeting with them is a shame. Such selfies are a shame!
I understand the discussion, but this selfie is completely unnecessary and publication in the media is a PR failure.
Some people aren’t worth taking pictures with, let alone bragging about. What do you want to show with this entry? That you walk hand in hand with the destroyers of our country? Big disappointment. You’re doing a lot of damage to your credibility.
The voice of reason
Among the comments, having endured the flood of “love”, you can find a voice of reason.
I don’t know why there are so few likes… it’s good to see photos like this, we’re not lost yet

I can’t stand Morawiecki and have the worst opinion of him. But I miss normality: the former Prime Minister posing with MPs with completely different views and from different backgrounds. I like this picture.
This photo, or rather the comments on it, illustrates our problem well. The MP’s voters, fueled by hatred towards political opponents (including by the MP), do not understand how it was possible to have their photo taken with the participants in the same debate

As the classic said: it’s worth talking.
Depolarizing photo. More please.
I know it’s just a little thing, just a simple photo, but it shows that we can stand together, at least for a moment, regardless of our political affiliation. I wish there were more such signs and real attempts at reconciliation! Although of course Ms. @pomaska takes a beating from her constituents for posting it, eh…
I like this picture!
Is there really so much outrage in the reactions to this photo, which is a long-absent normality that politicians are politicians, but also people and can have a photo after the debate?
