Evgeniy Minchenko, head of the communications company Minchenko Consulting, says that the violations detected by the Central Election Commission in signatures for the presidential candidacy of Boris Nadezhdin and possible problems with registration are due to the fact that the politician’s team is not sufficiently motivated.

In a conversation with socialbites.ca, the political scientist called the Civil Initiative, in which Boris Nadezhdin was nominated, a “couch party”.

The expert believes that Nadezhdin’s team relied on volunteers, hired workers and political activists “with some kind of self-motivation” when collecting signatures for the presidential candidacy.

“Such an approach will inevitably lead to low-quality signatures and a high rate of defects. Therefore, in my opinion, the attitude of the Central Election Commission, which found violations in Boris Nadezhdin’s documents, is absolutely objective. No one will want to take responsibility, register candidates, break the law,” he said Evgeny Minchenko.

Earlier, it became known that the candidate of the Civil Initiative party, Boris, asked the Central Election Commission to postpone the meeting to February 10, where they will discuss the issue of registering the remaining candidates for the presidency of Russia. The politician explained that this would allow for “examination of claims against signatures and better preparation of objections.” The CEC decided to hold a meeting on February 8.

5 February Central Election Commission clarified More than 15% of the signatures for the presidential candidacy of Boris Nadezhdin are defective.
