“What escapes public attention is what decision was actually made. The EU has very cleverly introduced three new taxes into the decision on financial support to Ukraine. The problem is that Poland loses the most from these taxes. There is little talk about it because the media system is currently being closed,” Patryk Jaki, MEP of Sovereign Poland, said on Telewizja wPolska, referring to the effects of the EU summit.
The EU decides on three new taxes, but there are two problems with this: systemic and financial

These should be taxes as your own income. This also means that the EU will have some of its own income. Until now it was the states that had their own revenues and transferred them, and now the EU will be treated as a state that has its own revenues. That is why I have always been against these ideas, (…) and Tusk agreed to them today, in honor of sovereignty
– he noted.
The second problem is financial, because there are three new taxes – the first comes from the ETS and this is where Poland loses the most, 25%. the ETS tax should be treated as the EU’s own revenue, and so far this has been Polish revenue. We are talking about tens of billions that were at Poland’s disposal every day. The second tax is the so-called border tax and experts already indicate that the EU, including Poland, could lose from this. The last tax is the tax on transnational corporations, and while you could say that this is a tax, which is fine, it had to be on Polish income, and now it appears that a large part of this income will be transferred to the EU if own income.
